The Appearance of Human Beings

primitive human

It is estimated that it was about 5 million years ago when the ancestor of human beings first became separate from those of gorillas' and chimpanzees'. They were the Australopithecus. However, they became extinct about 1.5 million years ago. Some people may be wondering why the Australopithecus are only the ancestors of humans, and not the primitive ape-like animals'. It is because the Australopithecus walked on two legs.

The genus evolved from some types of the Australopithecus and prospered after them. The hominines evolved through several stages such as Habilis (2 to 1.5 million years ago), Homo Erectus (1.6 to 1.5 million years ago), to Sapiens (300 thousand to 200 thousand years ago). Throughout this period, their brain size increased, their habitation area expanded, and they started to use tools.

About 200 to 90 thousand years ago, the modern peoples evolved and took over the early Sapiens, spreading throughout the world. The modern humans came to draw pictures and to speak, both of which are very important in our lives today. More important was the agricultural revolution that took place about 10 thousand years ago. In this revolution, the modern humans began to supply their own food by cultivating plants and domesticating animals.

From then on, human beings developed more and more, established a civilization, and going through incidents such as the industrial revolution, after which we were born.
