1. Effect of Fight for Land
With the end of "Fight for Land" at the late 1950's, Ryukyu-(Okinawa
Assembly) unwillingly admitted new requisition for a while. But the
whole Okinawa island had stronger awareness of anti-war and anti-base
than before. Accordingly, Ryukyu started to decide against the compulsory
requisition. Even often an order by the court for no compulsory requisition
way took place for fear of another "Fight for Land" gradually,
both the Japanese government and the U.S. Military were standing to
realize that they have to seriously consider the issue of Okinawa's
reversion to Japan, and "reversion with nuclear" was becoming
more realistic.
However, Japan, observing the three nonnuclear principles, had to solve
the contradiction in order to realize "reversion with nuclear".
welcoming the change of the Japanese government's policy and promoted
America was a stringer relationship bet. 2countries. Later Okinawa people
worked very hard to shift from "reversion with nuclear" to
"reversion without nuclear"

On April 24th, 1968, Zengunro(The uniform of works who works for the
base) went on a strike. Also, there were repeated movements against
stationed B52's. They might have developed another "Fight".
B52 was the Symbol of Okinawa Base, so people believed the withdrawal
of B52 would be a trigger for reversion and orgized a general strike
they believed a general strike throughout Okinawa was the strongest
means, after successful Zengunro's strike.

Thanks to Okinawa people efforts, the reversion of Okinawa was becoming
a bigger issue of the whole Japanese people's concern.
Eventually, Okinawa island was reverted to Japan as OkinawaKen in 1972.
