The different versions: Normal and Enhanced This page will help you determine
which version you should be using according to the capabilities of
your browser and help you decide why certain things may be
happening. When choosing which version you are
going use you should not worry about what resolution your are going
to view it in or the amount of colors that you will be using. The
two versions are to distinguish the Java(and JavaScript) &
frame compliant browsers from those that are not.![]() Screen Shot Please note that this is re-interated information from the help found on the very first page of out site. Which should I choose, normal or enhanced? You should choose the normal version of the site if: - You just tried the enhanced version and you
didn't see a running counter. This means that your browser does not
support javascript 1.1.
- Your browser does not support frames - Your browser does not support java or any other advanced features of the newer Netscape and Microsoft browsers. If you answered yes to one of the following, or one of the tests failed to work properly, then use of the normal site is strongly recommended. You should use the enhanced version of the site if: - Your browser does support frames
- You have a newer version of the Netscape or Microsoft browser's or any other browser that supports javascript v1.1. If both of these test work in your browser, then it is recommended that you use the enhanced version of the site. What's happening here!? If you are using the enhanced
version of the site and you are constantly being bothered by
annoying error messages then you should not be using the
enhanced version. The reason that this is happening is because your
browser is trying to use Javascript that it cannot support, thus
the error messages occur. If you are using the enhanced site
but this time things dont come up and images are missing, this
again means that your browser does not support Javascript. You
should back to the very first page and choose to view the normal
version instead of the enhanced.Note: It is not advised to going into the enhanced version of the site when you know your browser does not support either frames or Java as 1. you will not be able to go past the very first screen or 2. errors will continuously pop up and annoy you. |
