in full: Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard (Soestdijk
31 jan. 1938), Queen of the Netherlands, prinses of Oranje-Nassau, prinses of
Lippe-Biesterfeld, the oldest child from the marriage between prinses Juliana and prince
Bernhard. During the Second World War she lived in Canada. In juni 1956 she got at the
Baarns Lyceum her diploma gymnasium A; After that she studied in Leiden and passed at 7
juli 1961 for her doctoral-exam law. She married at 10 march 1966 with Claus (George
Willem Otto Frederik von Amsberg) in Amsterdam. They got three boys: Willem-Alexander (27
april 1967), Johan Friso (26 sept. 1968) en Constantijn (11 okt. 1969). At 30 april 1980
she became queen. From 1963 to 1981 she lived in Castle Drakensteyn (Lage Vuursche), and
later in palace Huis ten Bosch (The Haque). Her speeches are famous and testify of big
knowledge. She's very interested in art.
