Across the lock a bridge for traffic had to be made and on the dam a two lane road was built. Parallel to this road an extra lane was created for cyclists. the bridge has a width of 8 meters for cars and 3.25 meters for the parallel lane including the verge. The bottom side of the bridge is on a height of 6.5 meters +NAP so most of the ships could pass. On occasion the bridge is lifted.
