DENIS
We have learned kites a lot. I have already made 7 kites. Of course, not all of
them flew for our mistakes. I want to tell you about our experience:
1. Our first kite was broken very soon. The reason was very simple - the center
of kite should be very reliable.
This center is the place where laths are crossing:

2. After wasting many meters of paper we understood that light polyethylene will be
more useful for covering the kites.
3. Also we found out that laths can be easily joined with the help of thread with
glue.
4. Box kites can be flew during low wind too. For example right angled kite with wings
fly very well.
5. Thoroughly follow instructions and drawings. For example, in the construction of
rhombic kite we used laths with section 8mm*8mm instead of needed laths with section
15mm*15mm. This kite was very brittle and fall down and "died". It was so
sad............
