I think that when a person is first cloned they will be exactly alike but as time goes on they will not be the same and they will be different because they will still be able to think for themselves and have their own mind. The exact same things would not happen to them so their experiences would change their personality and how they view life. So my opinion is that cloning would not have an effect on people's identity. You would just have two people that looked exactly alike.
