I've read your other messages. I understand that you revere the Bible. I know that you don't believe the Bible literally. (I haven't decided yet.) What about when Christ answered an almost identical question.
Do you remember the story of the blind man who was cured? If you do, do you remember someone asking him why the man was born blind. He said that it was so that the glory of God might be shown through him. If that's Christ's answer to a man born blind why couldn't it be his answer to other prenatal abnormalities? Of course, this isn't a new argument, but it needed to be said. I'll let you know when I think of something else.
