First off I would like to apologize for being so slow to respond. I've been very busy lately. Alright. Now back to our argument.
Have you ever met a family with nine children. My dad is the youngest of nine and he'll be the first to tell you that they are all very different. Sure, they all share a few physical characteristics, especially his twin brothers, but even if their parents could have had a hundred kids each of them would still be unique. There is no limit to the variety even to a single pair of parents.
I have a question for you. Do you believe in fate? I know you don't believe in a plan for you because you don't believe in God, but fate adds a whole new demension to this arguement. If there is something which a particular individual was intended to do then how can we take on the reponsibility of deteremining another person's genetic code? We could vary well disrupt or lessen the chances of the individual realizing their fate. I know you probably don't believe this, but I wanted to hear it from you to be sure.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is a process of cloning which involves killing embryos. In this method a baby is cloned at birth and these clones are frozen. If needed later on these clones, composed purely of stem cells, can be influenced to become a particular organ. If they are not needed they are killed. Also, research is being done presently which involves the abortion of embryos. I'll tell you that this all happens before the 32 cell stage so you wouldn't consider them humans. This leads to another question though. At what point does an embryo become a human? Do you know when a bundle of cells recieves a soul?
