The two localities where the species can be found are close to each other. The localities are at the elevation of 5, 250 feet (1600m). This <A HREF="../glossary.html#moss" TARGET="eslist">moss</A> <A HREF="../glossary.html#inhabit" TARGET="eslist">inhabits</A> granites, rocks in streams, and below small waterfalls. <P ALIGN="justify"> This moss usually measures about 3 - 4 inches (7.6-10cm) long. It creates green mats. Its leaves have shapes of sickle and its cells are layered. <P ALIGN="justify"> The male and female organs are on separate plants. <P ALIGN="justify"> The moss was first found in 1985.
