The Imperial Fora
This was first done by Julius Caesar, when the Roman Forum wasnt big enough anymore he built one extra and many emperors would follow him. Caesar initiated radical reforms in the planning of buildings and open spaces. These were caried to completion and expanded by Augustus, with whom, architecturally, the forums most splendid period began. Most emperors tried to build the best and biggest fora so that they would be remembered in times to come and because they tried to make the civilians happier by building beautiful public buildings. The next two fora, Forum of Caesar and Forum of Augustus are the first two imperial fora.
