Fontana del Quirinale

This fountain, which is not as famous as the previous one, can be found on the Piazza del Qui rinale, right in front of the residence of the president of Italy.

Paus Pius VII wanted to have a fountain in front of his summerresidence. He wished and got it. He got a strange one, the naerly 18 feet high Dioscuren Castor and Pollux clench an obelish, which is from Egypt.
