Factors That Are Affected When A Currency Is Down
Many different factors are affected during an economic recession. Lots of them are obvious. In Asia, millions of people are out of work. Without work they cannot provide for their families. Supplies are very expensive. Even basic food goods are costly. Sadly, as a result, many go hungry.
Other factors are not so obvious, especially in countries more indirectly hit by the crisis. Trade has slowed because Asia does not have enough money to buy the things they used to buy; this hurts farmers, workers, and salesmen. Asian students going to college in the United States struggle to finish college. It is now very expensive to go to school. Many students, who had enough money to pay for four years of college, now have only enough money to pay for two years.
Each person, family, city, and country are affected differently. The factors may not be obvious to those not living in Asia, but they surely are there.
We invite you to tell us how this crisis has affected you. Perhaps you will complete our Guestbook and the Personal Interview? We will value your contributions and you will be helping to promote the development and success of our present site. Thank you.
