William
Shakespeare wrote many works, including 37 plays and 154 sonnets.
Since we are not experts on Shakespeare, we will not even attempt to analyze
each one of his works. Instead, we will go into four major works---
Romeo
and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, and Macbeth.
We chose these works because we believe that they are the most common plays
that are studied in high school. We realize that they are all tragedies,
so we have provided an “other works” area, which will briefly cover some
of Shakespeare’s other tragedies, as well as his comedies, histories, and
sonnets.
