SCHOLARSHIP. This scholarship, sponsored by the Society for Technical Communication, awards over $28,000 to 14 applicants, with $2000 being the maximum individual award. The application deadline is February 15, and the notification deadline is April 15. Applicants must demonstrate character, leadership, seriousness of purpose, and academic achievement. Recommendations are required of the applicant, as well as his or her transcript. A personal essay must be written by the applicant as well. The applicant must be planning on studying communications, computer and information sciences or graphic arts and design.
