Duracell Competition

CONTEST. The Duracell Competition main purpose is to challenge students design and build working devices powered by Duracell® batteries. The students are also supposed to write a two page description about their device. They also should include a schematic(wiring diagram)and a photograph of the device. The students may enter the competition individually or in teams of two. The competition is now open to students in grades 6-12 who are US citizens and reside in the United States or US Territories.

Grades 6-9:

• First Place One Winning Entry Selected $20,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds
• Second Place Two Winning Entries Selected $10,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds
• Third Place Five Winning Entries Selected $3,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds
• Fourth Place 12 Winning Entries Selected $1,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds
• Fifth Place 30 Winning Entries Selected $500 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds

Grades 10-12

• First Place One Winning Entry Selected $20,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds
• Second Place Two Winning Entries Selected $10,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds
• Third Place Five Winning Entries Selected $3,000 in United States Series EE Savings Bonds

• Finalists: Each of the finalists will receive a personalized Award Certificate.
• All Entrants: Every student who submits a complete entry in the Duracell/NSTA Scholarship Competition receives a certificate of recognition and an entry gift.
