Neil Christopher
Personal Biography
I’m a seventeen year old student at West Essex Regional High School who is entering his senior year. I was the webmaster for our team and I’m also the temporary webmaster for our school’s web site. My activities includes the technology team, Panasonic design challenge, Waxman student scholars program, Junior Engineering Technical Society, chemistry olympics, marching band, and jazz band. My hobbies and interests include computers, programming, working with Java script, doing various chemistry and biology research programs, and of course my saxophone.
Thoughts on being involved in this year’s contest
I felt I really progressed this year in that we utilized more advanced technology in developing our Mars web site. Last year my entry lacked many interactive features such as multimedia and images; however, this year with the use of Adobe Photoshop 5.0, Java, and active X applets we were able to make a more interesting and aesthetically pleasing site for our viewers. I believe that I gained a great deal of knowledge through interactions with my teammates and coach, Alan Sills as well many hours of trial and error working with the Java script.
Favorite aspect of the site
The use of chatrooms and emails to foster interactions amongst other users and the creators.
