The "New" Mars    Through the methods described previously, it is clear that Mars can be terraformed. But this can only be done if there is sufficient exploration of the Red Planet to learn enough about the planet and its resources to make this dream a reality. In a sense, mankinds potential to terraform Mars will have a profound affect on life. We have shown that we can understand the universe through the work of great scientists like Hawking, Einstein and Kepler. We have shown that we can travel to the heavens through the Apollo missions and the future missions to Mars, but actually terraforming a planet will prove that mankind has the ability to master the universe. Furthermore, Mars need not be only a home to humans. Once terraformed, it will provide a multitude of environments and conditions which will result in infinite new species.

This goal is a wondrous heritage that we can begin for future generations. In the future Mars will stand as not only a new world for life and civilization, but an example of what men and women of intelligence, will and vision can accomplish when acting upon high ideals. The accomplishment of terraforming Mars will show that "humans more than just animals, that we are in fact creatures who carry a unique spark that is worthy of respect. No one will be able to hear its story without feeling prouder to be human. No one will be able to hear its story without being inspired to rise to the tasks that will lie ahead among the stars."
