Description

gloves.jpg (5693 bytes)

Hockey gloves should fit snugly and not losely because you may lose the grip of the stick. The gloves should have thin palms for gripping the stick. The purpose is to protect the wrists and hands.

shin.jpg (6053 bytes)

Shins and elbow pads can prevent a lot of chipped bones due to a fall on the ice. They are made of either fiber and plastic but they serve the same purpose in preventing nasty bruises from sticks and shots.

shldr.jpg (6109 bytes)    Shoulder pads are worn hopefully to prevent any injuries to the shoulder and collarbone from any force of impact. They shouldn't be so large that they slow your skating speed
pants.jpg (5753 bytes)

Hip pads are built into the top of the pants also known as breezers.

helmet.gif (31055 bytes)    Like all the other equipment in ice hockey, it should fit properly on the player, not too big not too small. Wearing a helmet is very important because it protects the players head if a fall were to take place.
