For the simple reason that we only have one tutorial, and this tutorial doesn't teach you how to make word processors or anything like that. To aid you with this, we have laboured hard for a week to prepare a QBasic RPG for you. We left it purposely unfinished so that you may figure out a few things about it. In short, we are not teaching you how to create a program. We are teaching you what you should do when programming and some tricks you can use. Thus our concepts and this new teaching method can be applied while you are programming anything.
