Lesson 6- Manual Transmission

If the car does not have an automatic transmission, the driver has to step on a pedal called the clutch to disconnect the gears so they can be shifted by hand with a rod connected from the transmission. This is called a manual transmission. The transmission changes a small amount of torque into a lot of torque, and sends it through the drive shaft to the drive wheels.
