Fuel Sytem Overview

The fuel system is important because it is what controls the mixture of fuel and air that the engine uses. The fuel system of most modern cars consists of a fuel tank, fuel pump, filter and carburetor, and the lines that connect them. When the engine is running, gasoline is taken from the fuel tank by the fuel pump and delivered through the fuel filter to the carburetor.
