Vertical Viewer for Cloud Project

Materials Needed (for 2 viewers);

	2 large cardboard boxes
	2 empty paper towel rolls
	Tape or glue
	Scissors or utility knife
	Carpenter's level

Construction;
1) cut top flaps off of cartons
2) cut one side off of cartons
3) cut "X" in center of bottom of cartons, large enough to push a tube into
4) push a tube into each carton JUST far enough for it to be glued or taped securely onto the carton
5) check with the carpenter's level that the tube is approximately VERTICAL (straight up and down) - fine adjustments can be made when it is set up for observations

Final Set-up:
1) After determining the locations of stations # 1 and 2 (see general instructions) place one vertical viewer over each station marker, using a blanket or towel for the observer to lie on if needed.
2) Adjust the position of the viewer with cardboard scrap wedges so that the tube is as close to vertical as possible (using the carpenter's level).
