HighWire was built for educational purposes. But we also aim to acknowledge and respect the legal issues that accompany educational journalism. By using HighWire, you agree to follow these simple guidelines.

• HighWire was designed to serve high school student publications only. Commercial, or any other use, is prohibited.
• When submitting an article to HighWire, permission must be granted from all appropriate parties (such as authors, editors, advisors).
• When retrieving an article from HighWire, it is to be understood that it may only be reproduced in your publication once, and may not be redistributed.
• Users must respect any special restrictions set in place by an article's owner. However, the owner may not request payment or compensation of any kind.
• Users must state their true identity, and provide HighWire with contact information. Should there be any problem with your article, and a third party be required to contact you, we reserve the right to provide that information. An e-mail address is required to use the service.
• All content distributed on the service must be acceptable to the standard ethics and laws that apply to educational journalism.
• The Ink Team is not responsible for content made available by other users on the HighWire system. However, we will take every effort necessary to ensure HighWire remains a safe, useful tool for high school publications.
