Welcome! Here is you ticket to a complete and comprehensive tour of our nation's Capitol. We hope you enjoy yourself, but please, do not wander off alone. Oh, and remember, no photographs on the third floor Congressional Galleries. Above all, have fun and be ready to learn about this building's splendid and interesting history. Just to get you started, the Capitol covers four acres and the floor space totals 16 1/2 acres, which are 540 rooms on the five floors combined. The Capitol building is home to the government's legislative branch, the House of Representatives and the Senate. 

In this website, learn about the history of the construction of the Capitol as well as the architecture and art of the home of our Legislative Branch. The Capitol consists mainly of the Rotunda, the Senate Chamber, and the House of Representatives Chamber.  There are many offices and other rooms also.
