I never claimed prophetic ability (where things work out in the end) . Altruism is commonly spoken as an extention of the self which can or must be a product of selfishness .That is why I do not want to use that word to describe what a collection of acts have led to . The connections of sufferings past are more easily made because they tend to leave physical evidence . Loves evidence tends to be suffering averted which is harder to see for those who rely solely on empirical evidence .That was my point weak that it may be.
