I agree with Sarte in believing that we as human beings are entirely free. Yet, we deny ourselves of our
inborn freedom when we allow other external factors such as other human beings or events or even
other inanimate objects. But, I also feel that it is a fundamental distinguishing characteristic for human
beings to allow themselves to be affected by the elements of the universe. Otherwise, we wouldn't be
interconnected and there would be no communal spirit. Then what would be the point of freedom if we
all were just parallel lines unaffected by oneanther?
