I'll agree on one thing. You can find much truth in the bible. But I also belive that it have to be interpitaded. And we all do that in our own way.
Thruth is found within yourself. If you belive in God, it is inside you you will find him. And real thruth can only be found whithin yourself.
You can only trust yourself. Like you said, if one person tells you one thing, another will probably say something else. Therefore, you have to trust yourself only in finding the truth.
