I totally see what you're saying but as a woman it doesn't bother me. I just figure it's one of those old traditional things that carry over. of course coming up with a new phrase isn't such a bad idea. it would be kinda cool to make up a general pronound how about dri (she/he) and dra (him her)? hehee that's funny.
