I don't think there are universal truths. Also there is no "correct" and or "incorrect" way to behave. Behavior varies within different cultures. What is acceptable in one culture, is taboo in another. Try reading the book, "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe, which is a good example of the clashing of philosophies and "accepted behavior".
