| Augustine's Thought On Immortality
Because of Augustine's religious status he was confined to believe that the rational soul is immortal. He states that because reason is better than body, which is a substance, it must likewise be a substance. Whereas the body is mutable, reason, which understands immutable truth, is immutable, which is better. Thus reason, which is "either is the mind or is in the mind," is immortal. |
