| Aristotle's Thoughts on Fulfillment
Whereas for Plato it seems quite appropriate to distinguish between the limited measure of happiness that is possible in this life and ultimate fulfillment in the afterlife, Aristotle, on the other hand cannot because any afterlife would be impersonal. For this reason, it is difficult to speak of any Aristotelian conception of fulfillment that goes beyond his idea of this world's happiness. |
