Aquinas's Thoughts On Immortality

Aquinas wants us to believe his theory that the immortality of the rational soul can be explained philosophically by reason, and not just religiously. He maintains that the only two ways a thing can be corrupted are; in themselves and by accident. But no subsistent thing can be corrupted, and as he has already proven, the rational soul is a subsistent thing. Therefore the rational soul is incorruptible, and is immortal.
