In order to prepare for the complex and heavy ideas that accompany the subject of Philospophy, Christina attended the Boston University High School Honors Program. There, she took Art History (AH112) taught by Deborah Shafer, and History of Ancient Philosophy (PH300) taught by Prof. Mark Gedney. Christina's six-week stay in Boston was definitely a learning experience. Not only did she learn about the subject matter presented in her classes, but she also learned important things from the people she met. Christina was able to take her knowledge in philosophy, and her new people skills, to make The Philosophers' Lighthouse as fun and useful as possible.
Christina is considering persuing the field of education, using film as her medium. She feels that ThinkQuest has helped her to find this new direction in educational tool-making.
I plan on becoming a high school teacher. Either in the subject of math, biology, or my number one choice right now, theatre arts. I have a pretty impressive theatre resume (somepeople really would kill to have it), and I think that's what I really want to do with my life.
About the site, I think it is going to go over really well. This is my first really big website. I have two others, a tripod and a geocities, but right now they are not really dong much. I have another website in the works. It's about the Mathamatican, and Painter Escher. I hope that after this site has been up, and I take a week break, I will get back to that site. I have learned a great deal about philosophy, as well as HTML, team work, and I hope that others learn something from our website. I can honestly say that if one and only one person learns and enjoys our site, it will be worth all the time I have spent to make it. Sartre on Liberty and Human Rights, "Once freedom lights its beacon in a man's
heart, the gods are powerless against him."
Christina is currently a senior at Hanford High School. This year, she is involved in concert and marching band, orchestra, California Scholarship Federation, and is the 1998 Hanford High Janus Yearbook Editor.

Ben is proud that his daughter is again tackeling such an important pursuit. A fourth-grade teacher, Ben knows the importance of education, and is supportive of Christina in her efforts to exploit the internet, and world wide web's potential for teaching.
Name: Keith
School: Lee's Summit High School
Age: 17
Coach: Clint A. Hall
Clint Hall taught Keith and molded his skills in the use of 3D graphics. Clint seemed to bring the lot up whenever it seemed like we wanted to quit, and just give it up. We could not have created such a wonderful site, without the encouragement that Clint gave us. To Clint, a very special thanks, we all love you dearly!!!
Keith, 17, is a senior at Lee's Summit High School, Lee's Summit Missouri, USA. He is the treasurer of Tiger Act, and was the secretary of the Chess Club in his junior year. Keith has lettered in theatre three times, National Forensics League once, and Varsity Tennis. Keith has earned more thespian points (a way of tracking your involvement in theatre, one point equals ten hours of work) than anyone else to date, (that he knows of). He is in the honors classes in high school, and loves every minute of it.
He got started on this project mainly because of his older brother Clint Hall. Clint's website "Shakey's Place" took second in last year's contest. He's a great guy! The team had a hard time at first, trying to come up with an idea and whatnot, but in the end I think it turned out quite nice.
Terry is a 12 year old from Singapore. Terry is very ambitious for persuing such a mature subject in this difficult project. Despite Terry's difficulty in establishing a stable internet connection, and not being troubled by the long distances and time diferences, the team never once heard any complaints from this young scholar.
