Evolution in progress.

evolution is the gradual change in the characteristics of living things over successive generations especially to make a more complex form.
The concept of evolution scientifically answers some of the most important questions of all time – “Where did I come from?” and “How did I get here?”

For thousands of years, myths, stories and religion provided the only answer to these questions.  Also, for many years, religious bodies, particularly in Western Society, attempted to stop people turning to science to answer these questions. There were, however, always a few people ready to question the established order.

During the 18th century, an increase in the popularity of natural sciences led to many discoveries that changed and challenged past ideas.  Evolutionary ideas were developed and eventually accepted.  Our pages explain the history and development of evolutionary theory, right through to modern biology.

Begin your journey into the concept of evolution.
