like all living things, are able to move and grow, repair and maintain our bodies and
reproduce. To enable us to do these, we need energy and building materials, which we get
in the form of the food. So, we need food.
We can put basic nutrients into two groups, they are macronutrients and micronutrients.
Macronutrients are nutrients that are needed in large quantities; and micronutrients are
those that we needed in much smaller amounts.
In addition, we also need water and roughage (fibre).
