     White Star Line's dream was to create three massive ocean liners that would set the new standard in luxury and comfort.   Bruce Ismay's and Lord Pirrie's plan was to introduce the Olympic, Titanic, and Gigantic, the three largest ships in the world, as the first vessels to cross the Atlantic Ocean in near record time while still offering opulence.

     Lord Pirrie, the chairman of Harland & Wolff, worked with Bruce Ismay and architects from White Star Lines, to design the RMS Titanic.  Their intentions were to design the largest, most luxurious, indestructible ocean liner.   Many new techniques and engineering plans were introduced to help prepare Titanic for its maiden voyage.

     Assembling the Titanic required a unique and highly complex organized method.  The ship builders used specially designed and constructed contraptions that helped fabricate the different parts.  After the parts were constructed, the myriad of workers spent countless hours preparing and moving the enormous parts into position.  The final stage was assembling the different section to complete the ocean liner, RMS Titanic.
