The best way to learn about jazz music is to listen to it. One can learn even more about different styles of jazz by listening very carefully to the various parts in a composition. By listening to the different parts played by the sax , trumpet , or rhythm section one can better understand how harmony and melody fit together to create different jazz styles. In this section we have taken three jazz periods and written a MIDI version of Sweet Georgia Brown in the style of each period. Furthermore we have separated the different parts of the compositions so that you can gain a better understanding of the differences in the compositions of these three eras. Through listening you'll be able to learn!!
