Jean and Lloyd Wingfield October 1973

Jean and Lloyd Wingfield were fishing six kilometers out of the coast, by the Boca Raton (Florida), when Jean saw at about 2 PM a cloud of smoke on the skyline. Lloyd who thought it was a burning ship, turned his radio on and they hurried to the smoke. As they approached the source of the smoke, it looks more and more on a burning ship. They still got a SOS-signal on there radio. When they get closer to the ship they saw that the smoke came not out a ship but out a pipe with a average from 20 to 25 centimeters, that cast out flames and smoke. They saw the pipe as well as the smoke yellow of color was and from a distant of 30 meters they smell and heard nothing. After watching to the smoke for a while, the smoke and the flames goes gradually off, until only the pipe stings up. Because they were afraid they didn't go further on investigation and they left the place as soon as possible.
