Ramon Blanco

General Blanco was sent to Cuba to replace Weyler.  The expectations placed upon him were great, and he eventually lost everything.

Arsenio Martinez de Campos

General Martinez Campos ended the 10 Years' War and returned to Cuba during the War of Independence.  He was recalled.

Valeriano Weyler

He was known as "Butcher Weyler" for his policy of establishing concentration camps in Cuba.  Weyler was reponsible for the deaths of many Cubans.
