We use computers every day at work. A special DMS was created for the insulation business where I work and it is such an excellent system. I do the accounting and when I started it was all done manually. I also use the computer at home in my home business. Cheryl

Thank you for the oppurtunity to tell you about how I use computers in my business. I currently sell on internet auctions. It is the up and coming way to sell antiques and collectables. It is pretty simple but it is time consuming. You have to go and find the items that you will sell and instead of putting them in your store you take digital pictures of them and then list them on one of the auction sites. You can choose between 3-7 day auctions. Another advantage to this is that you do not have to really set a price for your items. The people who bid on it set the price just like at a live auction. The person then sends you the money for the item including shipping and handling and you send them what they bought. I have been at this for almost 2 years and it is a great way to earn money if you are unable to work a regular job. Darcy

In Business: Today I read an Oct.20, report that there is a new GTE Internetworking thing called "GTE InResponse" to use computer services to respond to the growing number of web inquiries received for their businesses. http://www.gte.com/g/news/inresponse.html is the url where I found out about this way people are using computers in their businesses to respond to people who use the worldwideweb forms to contact them.
