When working with electricity take all metal off your hands and arms make sure you are away from water and your hands are dry. You must know what you are doing because you can not only get hurt yourself but also hurt the equipment.
The most important thing when working with any equipment is to exercise common sense and never work on the insides when they are on!!!! . Do not pull, grab, touch what you do not know what it is, drop, scratch, etc.
For the equipment remember that computers are very sensitive to electrostatic and magnets. You can ruin thousands of dollars of equipment with one small magnet or a by not grounding yourself. To ground you're self where a static strap. Always make sure a grounding strap is worn at the wrist pulled tight so it is on the skin and is clipped to neutral mettle. The most common neutral place is the outer rim of the computer case.
Try to avoid standing on carpets when working with computer equipment or wearing socks.
Make sure someone is always around in case something happens. If a person is being electrocuted stop the source of the electricity and do not touch them. You can get electrocuted though them.
