- Responsible for the overall maintenance of the MVS
operating system. Responsible for developing and
executing SYSGENs and IOGENs. Responsible for system
tuning and performance measurement using MXG and various
real time performance monitoring tools. Act as technical
liaison between the systems support unit and applications
development personnel. Knowledge of VAX/VMS systems at a
level allowing me to backup the primary person
responsible for those systems. Full working knowledge of
VTAM and NCP on COMTEN 3690 FEP as well as TCP/IP and
UNIX to allow me to maintain the Mainframe TCP/IP
gateway.
