Woodstock, was a weekend of peace love and music with bands like Canned Heat, The Who, and the Grateful Dead. Although things didn't always turn out as planned, the 400,000 people managed to control themselves and things didn't get out of hand like Altamont. Woodstock was a 3 day concert held at Max Yasgur's 600 acre farm in Bethel, NY. There was no police at the coneert and inadequate food and water. There was also a wealth of free drugs there too. There were 3 deaths and 3 births at Woodstock.Woodstock was one of the better big events of the 60s and 70s. Everyone was just having a good time and enjoying the music.
