Elton John, became famous in the mid to late 70's as an excessive rock star. He grew up in England and was in a band called Bluesology. He signed with Liberty Records, and teamed up with Bernie Taupin to make his debut album. After that he released 6 number one albums and became the first act since the Beatles to have 4 albums on the top 10 at the same time. Elton John became famous for wild and extravagant stage shows. He would often kick over his piano bench and do handstands on his piano. He was also known for his gaudy jumpsuits which often had sequins and and other flashy items. He is perhaps most famous for his trademark glasses. He had more than 200 pairs of outrageous glasses.
