Site Reviews

I love the Rock Revolution site!

Now, I have to admit that I am a BIG fan of Don McLean!!!!!!! I think it is wonderful that young people of today can see the importance of his music! (Lyrics)...but, yes, I do wonder about the meaning behind some of the lyrics...(my 13-year-old daughter begs me to play American Pie on my CD player in the van...she is hooked too!) At any rate, I was enthralled reading the interpretation of his lyrics ...what a great effort!!!!! FANTASTIC!

THE LINKS TO THE MUSIC WERE AWESOME! It was great being able to listen to the music like that while going through the site!

My husband is a big Blues fan...and he really enjoyed listening to Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and John Lee Hooker (he has many of those original recordings in his MASSIVE Blues CD collection.) Yes, the Blues is what started the Rock n Roll era... Elvis, The Beatles, and others would not have been the mega stars they were without the influence of the Blues.

Lynne, tell your teams that they did a great job and we certainly feel they deserve high honors at ThinkQuest!

WOW! I just finished visiting both TQ sites and they are awe inspiring.

The Rock Revolution is out of this world! Right on,Darren. I love it especially because "American Pie" is my 2nd favorite song. My brother, who passed away years ago, used to play it everyday and now that he's gone, I play the CD in my classroom whenever I am working. Thank you for the explanation, I used to wonder what his lyrics meant, now, I am better informed. The info about the Tianemmen(sp.?) square was right on. Thank you so much for letting me view your sites. I am greatly honoured. Since you asked me to comment there was only one very tiny spelling error on the page where Darren said something and there was a strong wind, one "e" was missing in the word "breeze". Is that important in the contest?

I am sure the judges will have a very hard time judging. I'd hate to be in their position although I'd be interested in seeing everyone's entry.

Thanks again. Cheers!
Lita
