MIT AI Lab
To MIT...
Led by prominent figures such as Marvin Minsky and Rodney Brooks, the MIT AI Lab is a top-edge AI research center undertaking numerous projects on Robotics and Machine Vision, Learning Systems, Information Access, Human Computer Interaction (the "Intelligent Room"), Virtual and Enhanced Reality, Computing Systems and Environments, and Software Agents ("SodaBot"). The ultimate goal is to solve one of the greatest mysteries of the century: "How does the human mind work?". They also have the greatest wealth of AI information on web including a huge amount of essays and abstracts on the projects and theories achieved by the AI Lab, an access to nearly every central member, and a special spotlight on campus life.

Carnegie Mellon Computer Science Department
To CMU... Being one of the best computer science department in US colleges, CMUCS conducts many AI-based researches such as Active Perception, CADET (case-based reasoning and electro-mechanical design), Computer Music, Intelligent Coordination and Logistics, JavaBayes, Project Listen, Robosoccer, Soar (a cognitive architecture for general problem solving and learning), and TPS (Theorem Proving System). CMU Artificial Intelligence Repository is also one of the richest AI information source on web.

Artificial Intelligence Division in Stanford University
To Stanford... Stanford's current projects include basic research in artificial intelligence and formal reasoning, expert systems, large knowledge bases, agent-based architectures, image understanding, robotics, machine learning, mathematical theory of computation, program synthesis and verification, natural language understanding, parallel architectures, design/manufacturing, and portable LISP systems. The Artificial Intelligence division is composed of the following groups and labs: Center for Advanced Medical Informatics at Stanford, Formal Reasoning Group, Knowledge Systems Laboratory Logic Group, and Robotics.

AI Group of Georgia Tech
To GT... Georgia Tech's AI group covers a broad spectrum of Artificial Intelligence research, including the representation and organization of knowledge; the acquisition of knowledge through learning and instruction; and the use of experiential and other knowledge in design, explanation, language processing, problem solving, software understanding, intelligent systems, robotics, and perception. Visit their homepage for a list of AI courses they offer and a collection of publications by them.
