HISTORY
O
ur planet Earth is the most diverse and interesting celestial body in our universe as we know it. No where else in our solar system or our galaxy, for that matter, have we found evidence of biological organisms existing in such abundance. Actually Mars is the only other planet that we have found any evidence that there was once very primitive life. Earth is the third planet from the sun and 75% of it is covered by water.
O
ur plant is seen much differently by astronauts in space that we see it here on Earth. We view our plant as an endless expanse of blue sky and lush forests. From space we realize just how thin and fragile our atmosphere is that protects us from the desolate vacuum of space. When we look down upon the earth we see a tiny planet consisting of blue water, green and brown expanses of land, and white clouds all set against the endless black background of space.
