enus is the second closest planet palnet to the sun and is known as Earht's "twin sister". It is known as this because it is about the same size, mass, density, and volume as the Earth. Venus was named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Venus was also once known as the jewel of the sky because it can be seen glowing brightly, even brighter than most stars.

ertain times during the year Venus appears different in the sky. Sometimes it is known as the Morning star and at other it's known as the Evening Star. When Venus is moving toward the Earth it can be seen in the evening sky and when it is moving away from the Earth it can be seen in the early morning sky. Even sometimes during the year it is bright enough to be seen during the day.
