URANUS: 7th PLANET FROM THE SUN

HISTORY

U ranus is the seventh planet from the Sun and was the first to be discovered back in ancient times. Sir William Herschel first observed the planet through a telescope in 1781. Johann Bode proposed the name Uranus, who was the mythological father of Saturn. Over time this became accepted more and more widely and finally became universal in the mid-19th century.
